Looking to Donate to the Virtual Museum?

Tansi! Bienvenue! Greetings!

The Virtual Museum of Métis History and Culture is a community project. The idea to create it came from the Gabriel Dumont Institute (GDI) Publishing Department. However, all the culture and history that is showcased on the Virtual Museum comes from the Métis community. Without you, our Métis community people, there would be no Virtual Museum. We are using your stories and photographs, and are highlighting your artistic achievement in order to demonstrate the Métis’ profound efforts in the building of Canada.

The Virtual Museum is a continuously expanding resource. In that spirit, GDI is requesting further contributions from the Métis community for the Virtual Museum and other projects, including:

  • Photographs
  • Oral Histories
  • Educational Resources
  • Cultural Resources
  • Stories
  • Artifacts
  • Original Artwork
