Description: Kay was interviewed on April 17, 1984 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Kay gives a detailed description of the house she lived in for fourteen years as a child. Although her family did not go to church every Sunday, they learned a great deal about religion and the priest visited their house. Kay describes her mother and father and the their roles. She also discusses the jobs she had and how she quite school at fourteen to work. Kay briefly recalls being part of the Métis Society during the 1930s. She also discusses memories of school, languages, extended family and social life.
