Title: Morin, Vital, Interview (01)
Subject: Veterans, War, History, Reidential School
Description: Growing up Vital attended a residential school for seven years and he shares how and why he was sent there as well as some of his experiences. Similar to many Métis people, Vital did not know what he was getting into when he enlisted for the army. He discusses where he received his basic and advanced training. This interview contains Vital’s story of how he and six other soldiers were captured by the enemy. After the war Vital settled down with his wife and had eleven children and became involved in the community for many years.
