Bittersweet Oaks

Title: Bittersweet Oaks
Creator: Don Freed
Subject: Lyrics
Description: Bittersweet Oaks

Oh my God, bittersweet oaks
What’s happened here today?
Such emotion, pray that time can take this taste away!

We were brave and we were angry
We were not in wrong!
Jubilation, song of glory, sing it loud and strong.

Comrades we have won the day!
These intruders had to pay
We met their force and shot them down
It’s quiet now – there’s not a sound
They lie in pieces on the ground
Pieces.

Oh my God, bittersweet oaks
What’s happened here today?
Such emotions!
Pray that time can take this taste away!
