Description: Photograph of Joseph Martial Poitras. Joseph came from Lebret, SK, and was in military service from January 3rd, 1940 to August 31st, 1945 and from May 7th, 1947 to September 2nd, 1968. He served as a private, corporal and sergeant in The Royal Canadian Army Service Corps. He served in the United Kingdom, the Mediterranean, Sicily, Italy and Europe; Joseph was also awared the 1939-45 Star, the Italy Star, the France and Germany Star, the Defence Medal, the Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, the War Medal (1939-45), and the Canadian Forces Decoration and Clasp.
