Description: Photograph of Private Jean-Baptiste Dorion, who served in the 26th (New Brunswick) Battalion, C.E.F. Pte. Dorion suffered mustard gas wounds (lungs) during the battle of Passchendaele (October 1917) and was repatriated back to Canada. He died from his wounds on January 26th, 1924 at the age of 26 and now rests at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic cemetery (Cumberland House, Saskatchewan). He was also the first husband of Eliza Fosseneuve. This image is to be used for research purposes only.
