Production and technical assistance wore donated by Philipp Bula, Roger Rota, Kim Pemberton, Ellen Saenger and Wendy McLellan. Produced with help of The Vancouver Sun.

Introduction, "We’ve produced this book to help women in three ways. To put them in touch with one another. To help them find information that will be useful to them as women negotiating a new workplace. To give them information on the rich history and literature about women in the media. We hope this will ensure that our energies in different newsrooms don’t go into re-inventing the wheel but into moving forward from where other women have already brought us. As well, information gives us the understanding to cope with what’s around us. Even if you can’t change everything tomorrow, being able to analyze the dynamics of change, power struggles, and men-women communications makes us stronger. Hope you’ll get a spark from this."
